  • \(x + 0\) means move the preimage \(0\) units left (or right since it is \(0\))
  • \(y + 6\) means move the preimage \(6\) units up
  • \((x,\; y) \longrightarrow (x \;+\; 0,\; y\; +\; 6)\) means move \(A,\; B,\; C\) and \(D\; 6\) units up.
